Středokluky lies about 15 km west of Prague, near Václav Havel Airport and the D7 motorway. In 2025, it had just under 1,300 residents. The municipality consists of Středokluky, Nové Středokluky and Černovičky.

The first written record of Středokluky dates to 1316. The Baroque Church of St Procopius was built in 1719–1721 to plans by F. M. Kaňka. It is surrounded by a cemetery founded in 1725. The village also has a Baroque statue of the Guardian Angel dating from the 18th century.
