A florist in Ořech delivers flowers to Ptice

Ptice lies about 22 km west of central Prague. Since 1328, Horní Ptice and Dolní Ptice formed the municipality; in 1950, the two parts were merged into one municipality. The municipal office is on Hlavní Street. The kindergarten in central Ptice was built in 2015.

A chapel stands in Horní Ptice. The memorial to those who fell in the First World War in Ptice was unveiled on 4 June 1933. At the edge of the forest near Ptice grows the Svárovská lípa, a small-leaved lime tree about 30 metres tall.
